JULY 4, 2015- The Hamiton Titans team digs in as it nears the finish line in their heat at Bayfront Park Saturday as Lively Dragon dragon boat club held its annual Waterfest dragon boat races. The event, featuring close to thirty dragon boat teams, is a fundraiser for the Bay Area Restoration Council (BARC). April, 3, 2015- The Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority and the Niagara Peninsula Hawkwatch held at Good Friday open house at Beamer Memorial Conservation Area in Grimsby. Dec. 1, 2015-City Parks staff Terry Ward unloads a life-size fiberglass figure of the Virgin Mary to the Gore Park Nativity Scene Tuesday morning. The work was being done in preparation for this Friday when the giant Christmas tree in the centre of the park is officially lit up. JULY 4, 2015-Beth Chichakian hugs Tilly Johnson during a send-off for Johnson at the Hamilton Farmer's Market Saturday. After four decades selling Caribbean food at the market, Johnson is finally retiring. During her time in the city she has received an honorary doctorate from McMaster University, was inducted into the Hamilton Gallery of Distinction and started a scholarship fund for students attending post-secondary institutions. A celebration was held at her market stall and all manner of well-wishers stopped by to share their thoughts and stories of the popular market fixture.Photo by Scott Gardner, The Hamilton Spectator
