Neil Singh owner of Empire Hair Palace on King Street East, left, and his hair cutting colleagues teamed up to provide 200 free hair cuts for those in need Sunday. Singh says that he was raised to give back to the community and this he says is his chance. As well as haircuts people received a goodie bag, and a barbecue lunch, and cupcakes at the Wesley Centre on Catharine Street North.

Iman Kton 5 years laughs at his brother Mahmad 6 years as they have their hair cut by Jermaine Edwards and Damion Forrester of Sharp Cuts.
Mahmad Kton looks like he is getting the full salon treatment from both Jermaine Edwards and Damion Forrester but his little brother Iman is actually on the receiving end of the attention of two of those hands seated in another seat directly behind his brother.
As one of the owners of red owl and empire I would like to thank you for the positive exposure of Red Owl and empire’s first annual event changing lives through a haircut community event. We believe that this will help us get more local businesses, volunteers, participants and supporters for next year. Thank you
The whole red owl and empire team
