YWCA Fundraiser Walk A Mile in Her Shoes Raises $100,000.00!

Over 500 people gathered on the plaza at City Hall Tuesday to either take part or support the those taking part in the 8th Annual Walk a Mile in her Shoes YWCA fundraiser to combat homelessness and violence against women. This year participants raised $100,000.00 for local women in need. Highlighted here is a collection of fancy feet that took part in Tuesday’s walk including two of the Hamilton Police Services Mounted divisions horses who had the hooves clad in red sparkles for the event.

The St Joseph’s Hospital crew was out in full force at City Hall for another year of fundraising for Walk a Mile in Her Shoes.
11 year old Jame Monaghan raised $1,000.00 in pledges he collected from around the arena and sports fields where he plays hockey and lacrosse for “Walk a Mile in her Shoes”. This is James 4th time taking part in the fundraiser.
