A workers stands inside the largest of the 23 bells in the carillon in the bell tower at Cathedral Basilica of Christ the King. The Verdin Company, of Cincinnati, Ohio, is doing a complete restoration of the carillon including the new bolts holding the 23 bells in place and the mechanical apparatus to play them. The carillon was installed in 1932 and is only one of 11 manually played in Canada. The largest bell weighs 9,400 pounds and all were cast in England.
